We believe in hand making all our dumplings using only simple, locally sourced ingredients you can pronounce.
Each dumpling is handmade from scratch, including the dough.
We put tremendous amount of care and attention in the process, making sure we only use what we would eat ourselves and feed our own families!
The History Of Steamies
Humble Beginnings
Steamies Dumplings was founded in Austin, Texas in 2018 by Cindy and Leslie Chau, a Canadian-Chinese family originally from Hong Kong.
Cindy's passion of food and love of fresh, local ingredients resulted in some of the best new dumpling recipes developed in over a century... that combined with her unwavering commitment to traditional hand-rolling techniques is why Steamies dumplings are so delicious.
Cindy went on to develop the brand and open a brick and mortar location. After 5 years of hard work and dedication, other life plans were calling.
A New Start For Steamies
In early 2023, Steamies was acquired by world class chef and restaurateur Preston Day. Chef Preston, along with thousands of other foodies, fell in love with Steamies at the local Farmers' Market in Austin, TX.
So when the opportunity presented itself for Chef Preston to help make Steamies available across the country, he couldn't say no.

Preston firmly maintains Cindy's commitment to traditional hand-rolling techniques and continues to use only fresh, local ingredients.
He's joined in by his sister Kelsey. This family-duo is breathing new life into Steamies with exciting new dumpling flavors, and of course our brand new nation-wide delivery!
Together they keep the spirit of family-owned and operated alive and well.
