How-to: Master cooking Steamies' soup dumplings at home

Soup Dumplings are easily the most recognizable dumplings in America. Soup Dumplings gradually gained popularity after a restaurant in Taiwan - Din Tai Fung - received the coveted a Michelin Star for its soup dumplings.

I mean, what is there not to like? Soup INSIDE a pork dumpling with super thin wrapper? I feel like Soup Dumplings epitomize the head exploding emoji 🤯.

My Shanghainese mother-in-law-approved cooking instructions

  1. Take your Steamies Dumplings Soup Dumplings bag out of your freezer
  2. Take a second to acknowledge you will be having soup dumplings in 10 mins!
  3. Boil a pot of water
  4. Lay a parchment paper in your steamer and add a thin coat of oil
  5. Place frozen soup dumplings on the parchment paper, with sufficient spaces apart
  6. Steam for 10 minutes

Pro tip: don't have parchment? You can use any leafy-green as your liner instead!

Extra-tip: don't have a steamer? Use a pasta colander, or check out our super hack.

Serve and enjoy!
